  5. More Sad Hits is the debut studio album of Damon & Naomi, released in by Shimmy heacutojulasy.glycufafutolalnaijouparseoholdweb.co: Slowcore.
  6. In fact, this gauzy LP even fails to measure up to the gorgeous self-titled EP that Damon & Naomi previously released under the name Pierre Etoile, which featured the superb "This Car Climbed Mt. Washington" (of which a less-inspired remake appears here).
  7. On first listen, More Sad Hits is a little underwhelming. The songs are decent, but mostly homogeneous, and the highs aren't nearly as euphoric as those of Damon & Naomi's previous band, Galaxie While the record never quite escapes the long shadow of the band's previous endeavors, it does manage to put its sameness to good use, insomuch as presenting a cohesive atmosphere.
  8. This album contains exactly what its title suggests: sad hits. The melancholy atmosphere of these songs coupled with their sublime musical beauty make me unable to tell if I feel deeply saddened or exuberantly joyous after each track/5(6).
